What is a holistic health coach?

A health coach is someone who guides you through your health journey. Often this means creating goals, monitoring those goals, and providing informed feedback on how to achieve those goals. Holistic health coaching goes a step further. Holistic health looks into all the areas of your life that may affect both your mental and physical health.
Trauma Informed Health is also a community. It’s common knowledge that we are too isolated in our modern lives – in ways we were never intended to be. Trauma-Informed Health is based on a community model. We are a community of kind-hearted people who support each other in whatever health journey we choose for ourselves. |
What is trauma-informed health coaching?I specialize in working with people who need a calm, safe environment with connection and other kindhearted people for support. This can mean you’ve had a stressful experience in the medical system, you have a history of trauma, or you’re new to working on your health and you need a gentle approach. Whatever your background, I come from a trauma-informed lens and work to create a safe environment for people to make changes in as painless a way as possible – and hopefully with some joy along the way too.

Who is helped by using trauma informed care? Everyone. The principles of care and safety help everyone regardless of their trauma history.
I also work with people who have anxiety around making changes. Perhaps you’ve wanted to make changes but didn’t know where to start and you felt nervous and overwhelmed. Perhaps you feel that you would feel judged if you asked for support. Maybe you’ve found yourself less motivated or directed in your life recently. I also work from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. Everyone with kindness in their heart could be a potential part of the community. |
